The AXA Achievementsm Scholarship will provide over $1.4 million in scholarships this year

AXA Achievementsm Scholarship winners demonstrate ambition and self-drive with outstanding achievement in school, community or work-related activities. They share these qualities:

The AXA Achievementsm Scholarship offers college scholarships of $2,500, $10,000 and $25,000 to high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community or the workplace. University of Dayton $10,000 Scholarship

You have the opportunity to make an education at the University of Dayton, a top-tier Catholic research university, even more affordable for a student from your high school.

You can nominate a graduating senior with a passion for personal development and a commitment to service to be a Leadership in Service Scholarship recipient. This scholarship, for students admitted to UD, is worth $10,000 ($2,500 per year for four years). The students selected will also be eligible to receive a University of Dayton merit scholarship, which can be worth up to $88,000 over four years.

Scarlett Family Foundation

DEADLINE:  December 15, 2017

Scarlett Family Foundation Scholarships are open to Middle Tennessee high school seniors, who will graduate or obtain a GED prior to June 1, 2018, and college freshmen, sophomores and juniors.  The qualified Applicant is planning to pursue a career in business or a stem-related field, and must demonstrate financial need.

  • Students must be planning to enroll in a four-yer, non-profit college in the fall of 2018
  • Awards vary based on financial need, and are directly tied to the cost of the college.  Minimum award is $2,500 per year.
  • Scholarships are renewable awards for up to four years or until the recipient completes their undergraduate degree, whichever comes first.
  • A miniumum GPA is 2.5 or higher is preferred.

The Eugene McDermott Scholars Program

The Eugene McDermott Scholars Program at The University of Texas at Dallas is one of the nation’s most generous and selective undergraduate merit awards.

Valued at more than $250,000 (out-of-state) or $150,000 (in-state), the scholarship includes tuition, stipend, study abroad and professional development funding.

Please be aware that in this scholarship cycle, finalists for the Bryan Scholarship will also be considered for the Norris Scholarship, valued at full tuition and offered once every four years.

The nomination deadline for these opportunities is Wednesday, September 20.

•   you must submit a transcript and recommendation with the nomination form.  

•   the deadline for your nominee to submit a full, completed application (available at for admission to Davidson is October 15th.

Christopher Columbus Essay Contest Open to 9th-12th graders

Deadline: Dec. 1, 2017. Must submit essay to your counselor. 

9th through 12th graders are eligible to participate. Students must submit an 800-1200 word, typed essay on Christopher Columbus, “Advantages and Disadvantages of Working Relationships Between Foreign Parties”.

Open to students who have participated in community service activities over the past year.
