Over the past twenty-seven years, the Tennessee Alpha Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon has awarded more then $80,000 in scholarships to outstanding incoming freshmen males at the University of Tennessee. We are pleased to announce that we will be awarding another $5,000 in awards this year. The goal of our program is to identify and recognize the most outstanding incoming male students.
Applicants are under no obligation to go through formal recruitment or join the fraternity. Sigma Phi Epsilon prides itself on being a valued partner in higher education and our Balanced Man Scholarship is one way we strive to achieve that goal.

If your students have an interest in the mass media, our department will provide a great opportunity. Here are just a few reasons why:
Our faculty have won more teaching awards than any department on campus. They also come from successful careers in the professional world of mass media/communications.
Our fully digital HD broadcasting/multimedia equipment is as cutting-edge as any area schools, and students get access to our TV/Radio skills courses and equipment during their first or second semester.
Our student radio station is currently ranked in the Top 5 in the Nation and No. 1 in the South. Students in TV, newspaper, and PR just won first- or second-place in the Best in the South awards.
Our Web design, photojournalism, social media management and multimedia courses will prepare your students well for careers in online media.
