University of Miami – George W. Jenkins Scholarship

Scholarship Criteria:  Enrolling full time at the University of Miami

This prestigious scholarship is awarded to three high school graduates who have overcome significant adversity to achieve academic excellence.

Thanks to the generosity of Publix Super Markets Charities, Inc., and in honor of Publix founder, George W. Jenkins, the Jenkins Scholarship award covers the full cost of attendance.  It is valued at more than $62,000 for the 2016-17 academic year and more the @250,000 over four years.

Academics:  Minimum GPA of 3.75 and a well-rounded college preparatory curriculum.

Financial Need:  High financial need, as determined through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Student of the Year Campaign

Eligible Students: Students interested in and enthusiastic about volunteerism, philanthropy, community outreach, and leadership.  Able to participate in a fund raising competition to benefit the life saving mission of LLS.  Top fundraising candidates or team at the end of the 7 week challenge earn $2000 scholarship to school of their choice.

Application Deadline: Students must be nominated and submit an application by Oct. 31, 2016.

Washington University St. Louis Danforth Scholars Program

Eligible Students:  Prospective undergraduate students applying to Washington University.  Undergraduates must be nominated by School Counselor.  Applicants must have outstanding academic performance, exceptional commitment to community service, high moral character.  Specific examples of leadership, academic and personal achievements that set you apart from other applicants.

Application Deadline:  Students must be nominate by Nov. 15, 2016
