Veterans’ Day Program

By Franklin Sargent

Veterans’ Day is a holiday celebrated on November 11th each year in the United States. It used to be celebrated only for World War 1 veterans, but was soon changed to honor all veterans.  To honor our veterans at Heritage, we host an annual Veterans’ Day program.  It involves Boy Scouts, Heritage Glee, and Eagle Council.  Veterans come to our school and we perform a show and songs for them.  The staff makes a slideshow to show all of the veterans whom have served for our country and fought to protected it under any cost even with their lives.  Many men and women have fought and died for our country. To wrap up, Heritage Elementary celebrates and honors the people who have served our country at any cost.
